About

Welcome!

TroubadourBeat is a virtual clubhouse for touring musicians, ideally a place where you can vent, post your songs and videos, ask for help finding the best late-night diner in Austin or Astoria, read interviews, be interviewed, bitch about the music business, learn the liquor laws in Nebraska, tell us your dreams… and damn near anything else.

Most of this is up to you, the hardy foot soldiers of live music.

I’d be delighted with any suggestions.

So come on in, nod reverently to the picture of our patron saints above, grab a virtual Corona (or a good beer), and let’s hang out.

Our Patron Saints

From left to right, we have Conrad Lozano, Steve Berlin, Louie Perez, David Hidalgo, and Cesar Rosas.
Known collectively as Los Lobos.

The management here at TroubadourBeat reveres the band from East LA, now approaching their fortieth year together.

They’ve probably toured longer than any band out there. Their music is beautiful, their shows are rock and roll spiritual experiences, and they are kind gentlemen offstage.

They’re our inspiration.

My name’s Annette. I’m a lifelong music fan, with a colorful history of concert going.
(Hey, I saw the Sex Pistols!)

Longtime writer, longtime wife and mom, ready to do something new that I’ll love. I live in the greater Rust Belt. I’m easily plied with dark chocolate and craft beer.

My husband’s taste in music is almost as impeccable as he thinks, so that’s helpful. My teenagers hate everything I like, but I don’t necessarily hate everything they like, so sometimes I hear good new stuff. My buddy Les designed this site. And what about you?
